My name is Brandi. I'm married, 49 years young and work for the Federal Government for the Department of Army where I keep Fort Detrick military base safe. I live in Frederick, Maryland.
I bought my 2013 Subaru Wrx hatch brand new in '13 with only 6 miles on her. The only thing I knew about my car was Subaru's AWD. I had met some Subaru people soon in to my ownership. Those advised me to send my oil to Blackstone Labs. I started doing so from the very beginning. The only modification I added was a cat-back exhaust. As I continued my oil analysis tests, by the time my car reached 14k miles, the oil indicated motor failure. Sure enough, it spun #3 bearing at 15,999 miles. Subaru rebuilt the block under warranty. That motor was doing amazing (thanks to the outstanding mechanic and my hard break-in immediately upon pickup lol). I decided to trade that motor for my friend's Rallispec built motor as he was trading in the car. I knew this motor was in excellent condition and well taken care of. We did oil analysis results for his motor was great. We swapped and on I went. At this point in my ownership, I knew alot more about these cars and modifications. I began adding more power to the motor (rated for 500hp) than my friend had done. Not long in, it started showing signs of "not being happy". I was, again, going through a motor failure. I dropped my car off to Andrew Yates for rebuild. The car has been happy ever since with 400 wheel hp/tq. FP Green turbo, Manley pistons/rods, South Bend stage 3 clutch, and all other supporting modifications. Not only is the motor built, but the interior and exterior are personalized to the extreme level. All airbrushing inside, outside, and engine bay. Air suspension, custom hatch set up, YellowSpeed big brake kit, 3 piece wheels and the list goes on. My build started around 2015ish. The motor and tune was done professionally. All other modifications I did and/or had friends help me. I've been apart of pulling my motor twice. My Dad (RIP 10/29/23) and I custom built my air suspension set up, my subwoofer box, my brake install, and many other mods. I had my car transported to GA to my great friend for the exterior airbrushing for 5 months. I'm very proud of my car because I've taken part in nearly every modification. I wrench on her and for those that I allow to wrench on her, I'm VERY picky. I look forward to always adding more to her to see where we go together. So, there will be more to come.....
