Anyone else done with this cold?
Husband went to warm the ST up this morning at 7:15. Get down there at 7:30 and the car is still iced over frozen, and he had been sitting there holding it at 2k the whole time he was trying to warm it up.
Thermostat wouldn’t open up. So we said f it we ball and went to take the girls to school as quickly as possible so they didn’t freeze. We pull up to the school and the car starts to smoke- it’s overheating.
We get it to cool down, start headed towards his work so i could drop him off and bring the car home. Car keeps overheating and going into limp mode. When i say i am SO OVER how unreliable this car has become, i mean insurance fraud is the next thing that is coming to mind as a solution.
Finally get it home, thankfully he works as the mechanic at a tow yard, so we had a truck come get us and we popped a lil hole in the thermo to temporarily solve the problem.
Anyone else have a crap ass Monday? Loved dealing with all of that first thing in the AM.
Anything not so dandy happen over the weekend with your car? Come, complain with me for a moment.

Not this morning but Saturday evening we took the family to one of the drive in Christmas light shows in our area. Spent half an hour or so with the wife's Odyssey shut off and the radio on to listen to the music, went to put the kids back in their seats and the side doors wouldn't open. I had a bad feeling and when I went to start it between the cold (15°F or so in KC) and the radio running it absolutely would not crank. Thankfully I had cables with us and the guy parked next to us was happy to jump it but I discovered that there is a splash guard and part of the intake that have to come off to reach the battery on the '16-'18 Honda Odysseys. Half a dozen push clips later it wasn't really a big deal, but kind of a pain in near-zero wind chill with snow coming down lol. Now I'm on the hook for a $250 battery I wasn't planning to replace anytime soon, but hey, there are way worse things.
