Trouble shoot

Okay - so.

2016 focus st

Have bled the clutch a multitude of times including pressure bleeding, starting to think its my flywheel taking a shit based on the sounds that are now occuring when the clutch is out (a weird grinding noise like metal on metal) Just replaced the trans, clutch, slave, master and the stupid little clutch switch and the regulator that filters the fluid into the master. I’m at a loss, flywheel is my last ditch effort. I really don’t want to tear the trans back out 😫

After this i’m rolling it in a lake 😭

I wish i would have taken into account the financial and mental strain this passion/hobby requires the first time i picked up a wrench.

If only little me would have known.

Could be flywheel. Is this a new noise since changing the trans? Could a bolt be loose and scraping somewhere? How's your input shaft look, any teeth missing? Also, may be silly, but the sound is definitely coming from the trans area?

The little things count.

After accomplishing the big task of replacing my trans/clutch and master cyl. in the ST - the BMW took a crap.

I haven’t gotten around to actually fixing it yet, but the parts are disconnected now. That’s something right? Coils, plugs and injectors. Gotta be at least one. Possibly more. Send help 😭 i hate german engineering.

First build help

Hey everyone, wondering if anyone can help me with finding mods or give me ideas on what I can do for my Fusion? It has already been lowered, I have done mostly interior work and wanted to do more for performance. This is my daily driver and my first car I've actually been modding (though mostly cosmetic) and want to get input because I don't see much for this car, 2010 Ford Fusion SE 2.5L

I've been thinking about this all day and I'm thinking given the smaller aftermarket for that motor I'd probably start at the universal firsts. More, cooler air in and opening up the exhaust. Looks like Steeda carries an in-house intake for it that they sell as a "power pack" with a tune and they also carry a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust. That's probably the direction I would go to start with. Sway bars, end links, and frame stiffening are also almost never a bad idea. If you want to get a little fancier with the exhaust and maybe have access to a welder, you could totally look at building a more custom cat-back with a Valvetronics universal muffler or something similar. That would give you a quiet option as well as a loud, wide-open exhaust option when you want it. I love the valved system I put on my Corolla. It's rowdy when I want it to be but quiet enough not to wake my kiddo up when I leave for work at 5:30am.

Just 2 cents from a Toyota guy.

Good luck and happy building!

What tools do you keep in your car?

I had a minor incident with a punctured tire this morning that got me thinking this might be a worthwhile question.

If you daily or road-trip your car, what are your must-have tools that go everywhere with you? Any unique tools or items that have saved you in a pinch?

My tire repair kit in particular saved my bacon this morning and kept me from either having to deal with a tow company or put a donut spare on a drive wheel on a lowered car mid highway trip. I'll move the plugged tire to a non-drive wheel later when I'm home and have access to a good jack and stands but for now this kept me on the road and moving at a time when my family is down to just one vehicle after a wreck involving my wife's car last month.

Here's what I always carry:

same stuff, unfortanately I'll have to settle with the jack the car comes with, I also carry a 3/8th drive and 1/2 drive electric impact and a set of sockets for both
