Let’s get more in this thread, this is what it is all about!

Modify, Diagnose, Repair, Repeat

Seems like there’s always something but this one made me laugh a little. I switched to a metal under tray a while back which did not require the use of the rearmost mounting point. I was getting a wild vibration sound which I thought was a heatshield… and I did actually have one on the up pipe that had broken loose. After spot welding it back on I was still getting the same metal on metal vibration sound. Well, at least it’s fixed so I guess that puts me back at “Modify” in the cycle!

welp

So to start off I had this post in the wrong channel so I moved it here. Long story short I had dropped my Z off at a autobody shop to get a polyurethane Nismo V2 front bumper installed (got it for the durability) and when I went to go pick it up after it had been at the shop for 24 hours and had been sitting all day the next day, went to start it and my engine started knocking I sat there confused and it started to run normal after it had warmed up, I got to a intersection and all of the sudden my "Check Engine Soon" light started flashing followed by my V6 turning into a V5 when I got back to my house I ran a engine scan and it came back as cylinder 3 was misfiring so been fixing that

Hopefully it ends up being something simple on cylinder 3 like coil pack, plug, injector connection, or maybe something got bumped loose while it was sitting at the shop. The fact it smoothed out after warming up at first almost makes it sound ignition/fueling related more than anything catastrophic, which is at least a little reassuring.

I would say a great first step is getting fitment dialed in. Have you looked into suspension yet at all?
