Let’s get more in this thread, this is what it is all about!

New YT video!

Had some time to edit a little bit in between getting ready for my move. 1st video of the build process is up now.

Trouble with MidNight

Well fam tuning on Friday didn’t go smoothly. First problem was a pretty stupid one from a simple oversight. After burping my coolant system the rubber gasket from my no spill funnel was left behind in the top of the radiator. During the first highway run on my new base map the upper radiator hose blew off and I dumped all my coolant. Luckily I was right by an exit with an advance auto seconds away. After reconnecting the radiator hose and going to fill her back up realized the rubber gasket was there not allowing pressure to bleed off causing it to blow the hose off.

Aside from that the first few data logs went smoothly. I did two 20+ minute city driving logs and two 20+ minute highway driving logs as well as a couple idle logs. I did my 1st 3rd gear wot pull data log and…

Man, that really sucks after all that work. I’m hoping you can get it back up and running soon! 🙏

Getting show ready

Been doing things!! So I started with upgrading the intake with the PRL Street MAF HV intake. I might have gone down a rabbit hole and also picked up new side markers because, 🤷‍♀️ why replace the bulb when I can just replace them to LED secentials. Then I wanted to fix the paint chipping on my handles, so…well guess we are getting handle covers. I accidentally ordered carbon fiber when I wanted gloss black. I put them on anyway and I’m not sure how I feel about them. Next I was planning to replace my emblems because my front emblem looks like it came back from a war zone with rocks…oh well…might as well just get the grill I have been wanting that deletes the emblem. 🫣 cus then I don’t have to worry about it again. (You see me over here with the logic?)

I also have a…

We have absolutely always loved the color contrast between the flowers and the wheels against the blue. It grabs my attention every time I see this car. 🔥

We are under way!

I’m currently in the process of E tuning MidNight right now! Such a surreal moment I’ve been working towards for 2 1/2 years and I finally

made it happen!

What kind of power did she put down?

Back at it again!

Day two of MidNights overhaul was a good follow up to day one. Got everything I wanted to accomplish taken care of! Pulled out the oem headers, turbo, and catalytic converter. Got the new headers, turbo, turbo inlet, boost control solenoid, and cat in as well as the Koyorad radiator! Really happy with the progress so far. Tomorrows focus will be the fuel pump and water methanol injection system. If all goes well Thursday will just be changing the oil, filling her II with coolant and just buttoning the last few things back together and giving it all another thorough once over before tuning on Friday.

It Has Begun!

First day of work is in the books! Got the radiator, tmic, charge pipe, intake, intake manifold, tgv’s, and egr removed. Intake valves walnut blasted, an spark plugs replaced. Still got quite a bit of work to go, but I definitely got off to a good start minus my harbor freight media blaster clogging up on me and slowing me down a bit but I got through it. Most of the sexy stuff should get done tomorrow; Headers, turbo/inlet, high flow cat, and as much else as time will allow. Feels so good to finally reach this point in the build!

Berk Tech Resonated Test Pipes installed

Been a min since I've made a post, installed my Berk Tech Resonated Test Pipes sometime ago and they sound good with my Stillen Catback Exhaust. Only thing is my Passenger side O2 sensor finally died on me, a small exhaust leak in the exit of my Y pipe (due to a rusted out gasket), and a rattling sound from me knocking something loose when I had to drop my Y pipe to install my Resonated Test Pipes. New things to work on with my Z

My Ode to my Evo X Build

Went ahead and put my old works bell and Slammedenuff wheel/hub setup in the Subi. Both were limited editions that were gifted to me by Charlan from Slammedenuff and Works Bell Japan when I had my Evo build, so now they join me again 🤍

Sickkkkk! Looks killer man🔥

Holy boost Batman 🖤

Just finished the dyno runs, we made 371HP and 342TQ on 20lbs of boost.

Boy was he pissed as shit when we pulled in and now he’s back to screaming like a demon from hell! On to the next portion of the build 🙌🏽

I bet it still feels like a riot to drive!

I’m getting hyped up.

My tune is set for 10AM Monday with my boys at Moore Automotive. Just got a very reasonable quote on paint for my car including my widebody, so setting that up for next month, and now gotta order tires so I can fit my fat boy wheels on! Guys I’m getting hyper!!!

Decided to stick with my stock 37J Satin White Pearl color, it’s hard to come by and I’ve fallen in love it it.

And my wheels are 18x10 +10 step lipped. With my wide body, they will sit flush to the fenders! 🙌🏽🙌🏽

Getting Closer

After 2 years of saving up and acquiring parts I finally got the last of what I needed to get to the next phase of my build. Boost Lab 54x and Overtake Big Tubo Inlet have arrived! So today after work I stopped in at my local Harbor Freight to pick up a small media blaster and some walnut shell media so I can clean the valves and do all the upgrades. Wicked Big Meet is this weekend and my daughters second birthday the following so I won’t be able to get anything done until for a least another couple weeks, but at least I’m closer to my goal!

Hell yeah brother!!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽 happy birthday to the cutie as well!

Malthael is an angry boy. But he still sounds so good.

Don’t mind the awkward idle looping, as he really needs a retune. But the base map is working nicely so I can make sure everything goes well for dyno day. Even charged my A/C at work today, even though it’ll be ripped out the car after boxerfest 🤣🤣. I feel whole again now that he’s back with me running.

HES ALIVE 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

I’ll post a video soon, but my car finally started back up, but I realized I literally had NO gas in the tank 🤣🤣 and that I have a small but consistent leak on my dampers on the fuel rails. So gotta pull the rails off just to fix that 🙃

But god damn I squealed like a little school girl the moment I turned him over and he roared through the shop

Progress, but delayed slightly.

Don’t mind me lookin awful, my boyfriend just wanted a quick shot of me doing my AN fittings on my new lines. And I appreciate him for rebuilding my fuel pump for me so I can focus on the bay.

Tuner sent my base map to me last night, I was hoping to have the car started but I ran into an issue with my FPR set up and need an extra fitting to finish my lines. But I’m so close I can literally smell it…. Or is that just me high off the gasoline fumes? Lol

I will say, I’m extremely lucky to work for a dealership who values me enough to allow me space to work on my car for as long as I want. I was here working from 9am to 7pm and I stayed after til 1AM knocking this out. Now I’m back here working again.…

Nothing but the best luck!!!

Fat turbo is back on 🙌🏽🙌🏽

Not gotta get one more TEE fitting for the fuel lines and then everything else can be bolted in and cars ready to start

Don’t mind my rusty ass housing. I’m running this turbo into the ground til I get a 6466

Straight to the ground 😂 the rust adds character 😂

Carbon! But cheap = fitment issues

More weight loss, more carbon! It doesn't fit perfectly though, the passenger side sits a bit high. I think the mold this company used is either slightly off or they released it from the mold too early. Worst case, I get ahold of Seibon or VIS racing and order a new hood from them down the line. The weight difference is significant though, can feel the front end is lightened up as the stock hood is like 60lbs and this one might be 10-12lbs

Honestly man fitment is looking great 🫡

Quick update

Haven’t been able to get anything done on my WRX in a couple weeks now. 😕 Thankfully now though I can at least see the light at the end of the tunnel. Yesterday I was able to OFFICIALLY order the last of the parts I will be adding before retune for sure now lol! With help from my tuner I decided on and ordered a BoostLab 54X turbo. I also ordered an Overtake Big cast turbo inlet and an AEM lpfp on top off all the other mods I have in my garage all ready to go. Aside from ordering the last of my parts (power adders at least😂) I also FINALLY paid for my dual map tune! Not only am I set there, I will also be putting down a deposit this week for having my new bumpers and fender flares painted as well as having my cf seibon…

Prepped and ready for tomorrow for everything to be back in and ready for dyno tuning 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Have my dyno appointment in 2 weeks and I’m screaming. Can’t wait to open throttle on the road back.

Nice! Yea same I’ll be fbo but a moderate sized turbo lol I didn’t want to go to big I don’t plan on going for more than what’s generally the sweet spot before it becomes a ticking time bomb and I don’t want to go that far until I’m ready for a built block. No I’m in CT, unfortunately at least for now hoping to relocate by early next year the latest.

sorry for looking away a lot, there were ppl doing something behind my house 🫠

Making progress!

Finally got fuel injectors and rails in after gasket refreshing the motor and now motor can go back in on Monday!

Went with ID1050x injectors, with some beautiful IAG rails, deleted my fuel lines for some braided ones that I’ll cut and place when motor is in. Also resealed/wrapped my engine harness and deleted some connectors that weren’t needed (2nd air pump BS). Cleaned up my intake manifold so it’s all shiny now.

Next is motor being put back in

welp

So to start off I had this post in the wrong channel so I moved it here. Long story short I had dropped my Z off at a autobody shop to get a polyurethane Nismo V2 front bumper installed (got it for the durability) and when I went to go pick it up after it had been at the shop for 24 hours and had been sitting all day the next day, went to start it and my engine started knocking I sat there confused and it started to run normal after it had warmed up, I got to a intersection and all of the sudden my "Check Engine Soon" light started flashing followed by my V6 turning into a V5 when I got back to my house I ran a engine scan and it came back as cylinder 3 was misfiring so been fixing that

Hopefully it ends up being something simple on cylinder 3 like coil pack, plug, injector connection, or maybe something got bumped loose while it was sitting at the shop. The fact it smoothed out after warming up at first almost makes it sound ignition/fueling related more than anything catastrophic, which is at least a little reassuring.

Finished up the exhaust last night, 2.5" dual all the way back to a magnaflow X muffler. Can't wait to hear how rowdy this is once I get the truck running again.

Fabrication work is on point!

Final Profile

To say its been a Rollercoaster is an understatement. Couple failed paint attempts on the lip, a change in plans on the side skirts, a new sponsor for the diffuser and the final commitment to just go low for slammedenuffohio...I can finally say I think I'm ready and its sitting where I want for now. A massive thank you goes to @hunterbrown437 for putting in so much time and effort to get this to where it is now. Without him the car would not be what it is. And to my friend k9rolla for getting these photos

New addition for the Z

Just recently ordered the Berk Tech Resonated Test Pipes for my Z. I have heard what they sound like on other 370s so I'm hoping that one they fix my Check Engine Soon Light (passenger side cat is busted internally) and two they pair nicely with my Stillen catback exhaust setup, won't know until mid May.

Nice man! From what I’ve heard these definitely add a deeper note to the VQ I think you’ll be happy. That’s for sure.🔥

I was able to get my new bumper and side skirts on.

Looking good brother! I’m jealous I have brand new bumpers and fender flare I need to get painted and install! Also have some other aero stuff to install too but waiting until I have the bumpers and flares painted.

Project Matheal update 🖤

Enjoy this snow day photo 🤣

So after pulling my motor months ago and watching my fuel injector just fall apart completely, and waiting on the IRS to give me my tax refunds, WE ARE MAKING PROGRESS NOW!!!

Finally going to tear the heads off and reseal the motor completely. Checking my pistons before I seal him back up for the new fuel system. Hopefully by Friday I’ll have all the rest of my parts ordered. The goal is he’s back on the road by the end of the month. Then gonna start repairing my widebody (I hate fiberglass), mount it and wrap him for the time being. I’ve also been redoing my engine harness at home, so that it’s a lot cleaner looking

Goal power is roughly 420-450. My Tuner is super confident I’ll make that safely on stock internals. Then start saving for the IAG 750 Long Block…

I probably find a good one for u

Finally got some work done!!!

Well after a long time of just accumulating parts and waiting I finally installed a couple things! First I tinted the top strip of my windshield and put on a windshield banner with the logo cut out so u can see the glossy black tint through the banner and put on my midnight pretenders banner on my rear windshield. I swapped out my oem intercooler and charge pipe for a Subispeed tmic and Grimmspeed charge pipe. While I had the intercooler out I also replaced my tired oem pitch stop mount with a new jdm sti one, put in a new pcv valve, and installed radium engineering dual catch cans. Also added the plastic ducting I was missing that attaches to the hood to direct the air through the intercooler. Drilling into my carbon fiber hood gave me a little anxiety but it went smooth and came out how I…

Built or Bought

The ages long argument/debate. Does it truly matter if you buy a pre-built car? Are you a firm believer on building your own car? Does it not matter, and all that matters is that you enjoy it? What are your opinions, and why do you think that it is such a controversial topic?

If your not going to talk crap or down on other builds it's fine that you bought your ride.

But in my opinion if your judging other people's work and creativity but can't even turn a wrench, I think you need to politely shut the f*ck up.

Update time

Its been a minute since I've posted and I'm very excited to show what I've been teasing on my IG for the entire winter.

Want to note that it'll be getting lowered on this upcoming saturday. But for the week this is where I stand.

-BC Extreme Low Coils installed and ready for drop

-Epsilon Aero Front lip and side skirts. Tried my hand at painting them to match the car and it came out okay. Needing some wet sanding and polish.

-Kansei 18x8.5 Hyper Silver Tandems with the special edition blue center caps.

I'm really pleased with how much it changed the car overall. Different personality. Lmk what you all think. Little things I could add to the car? Headlights arrive in the future 🤫

Progress is progress

After a long weekend of thrashing, I stand back and other than the bulldog stance and the trunk spoiler, it doesn’t look like I accomplished much. But then i remember the complete redesign of the exhaust(header back), new o2 sensor location and install, installing new front suspension and control arms, height adjustments, clearancing, the heat shielding, the harness bar, the seat modifications, the 5point harnesses and mounts, the trunk spoiler, tucking and rerouting wires as I went along. All of that doesn’t look like much.. BUT. Progress is progress. And I have to remind myself that.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. 🤙🏻

Nothing extravagant, just a budget setup since she’s my daily.

As of recently the Spec-D cat-back just came in. Heard mixed reviews, so we’ll see how she sounds once it’s on.

Hey everyone, this is my bone stock 2005 civic ex I've recently purchased a couple months ago. I installed some coilovers and dropped it a few inches, thats as much as I got done at the moment.

As of right now the plans for this car I will be focusing on cosmetics such as the hood, wheels and paint job and other little things around the car. I plan on getting a body kit for it but haven't decided on it.

As far as performance right now, I plan on getting a cold air intake for it. Once I work out the cosmetic issues I will start performance upgrades.

Little By Little

Hey y'all! Here's my 2021 Corolla Hatchback and a brief (ish) summary of what's been done and where it's headed. I bought the car a year and a half ago roughly and I've been slowly and steadily building it to my liking.

The exterior looks fairly OEM+ right now with tint, a mild drop on RS-R coils and Tein struts, a Blitz (rep) wing, Kill All Wipers rear wiper delete, and custom cut rear plastics for my exhaust. Recently my son and I applied sticker bomb vinyl to one front fender and of course it's wearing a club banner.

Interior is stock save for a Delta X throttle pedal spacer and some work on the shifter including a Grimmspeed stubby weighted shift knob and shifter bushings from Monkeywrench Racing. I have plans for the interior

but it's going to come last on my list most likely.
